The event at Bristol University was an action-packed day of talks, workshops, films and debates with leading minds from across the world of international development, and gave students the opportunity to take part in a fascinating dialogue about our role to play, as individuals and world citizens, in tackling poverty and social injustice across the globe. This year the BIDC addressed issues around humanitarian aid, climate change, world trade/ fair trade, international health, human rights and the politics of development. The BIDC ticket included a FREE lunch cooked up by FoodCycle Bristol, a FREE copy of the Guardian Weekly, a complimentary drinks reception and lots of fantastic fair trade discounts across Bristol, including La Ruca Health Foods and Bishopston Trading!
